In 2001 Dr. Octavo was invited to create and remix one of the major themes "The Celestial" for the Opening Ceremonies of The 2001 World Championships In Athletics (Edmonton, Canada), televised to over 4 billion viewers on August 3, 2001. The 9 minute composition, remix and production was based on the late 80's hit single "Rise Up" by Parachute Club (produced by Daniel Lanois) and was accompanied by a fully choreographed 600 youth dance squad. The piece was one of the most upbeat and colorful highlights of the Opening Ceremonies."The Celestial" was also featured every midnight as the main music of the "Northern Lights" - the finale of daily music concert series featuring various major artist. "Northern Lights" was produced by Space Cannon Inc. as one of the most spectacular laser and light shows in Northern America.
This jingle was produced for the Stein Mart 2003 marketing campaign.
